Summer randomness...

Here's a few random pics from the past couple weeks. Lately on Sunday's, when the weather is good, we find some place to go an explore. When I was on ISU campus the other day I noticed the trail up to the top of Red Hill was now paved. I figured that would be a good place to go and take the family. Well my mistake the trail does not go up to Red Hill anymore. If you look in the picture our goal was to hike up to the top where the pillars are. There is an over grown trail a little ways up that still heads up that way - no place for a stroller though. So we stayed on the nice paved trail that took us for a nice mile walk. We'll have to try Red Hill another day and hike it from the other side. It was still enjoyable. On the way back we walked through the huge cemetery by campus. It was just after Memorial day so all the graves were still decorated. We found a nice spot in the shade and enjoyed the big bowl of watermelon we brought along. Kind of a weird family outing - eating watermelon in a cemetery.
Boston sharing some of Reese's pop tarts.
Mmmm...watermelon.
Last Saturday we went to a fundraiser supporting a friend of ours (her son was a victim of child abuse). There were a lot of fun activities. Reese got this super sweet unicorn painted on her face.
She also got this feather in her hair. We enjoyed some good food, live music, bought a dutch oven in the live auction, and even won a prize in the raffle (a saddle blanket - not sure what we're going to do with that - but it's still fun to win).
Boston loves to say "Cheese."
Reese's new Rapuzel bedding.
Boston saying cheese again. We went out to eat with a few friends earlier this week and wandered around the petting zoo afterwards.
