Valentine's Day

The kids were excited to see a surprise waiting for them this morning. (We actually had to tie the streamers off to the side so the cat wouldn't attack them during the night).
Fun things: Each got a heart shaped plate, valentine cup, new shirt, bubbles, treats, milk straws, and a toy. Reese: a new Lalaloopsy and Boston got the Winnie the Pooh movie.

Breakfast: Heart shaped homemade poptarts, strawberries, and heart shaped pancakes.
Blowing some bubbles.
Heart shaped cinnamon rolls.
Strawberry poptarts.
The "heart" shaped breadsticks to go with our heart shaped pizza. They didn't look to heart-ish, but they still tasted good.
Modeling the new V-day shirt and haircut.

The cutest Valentines Ever!

Yum! Heart shaped fruit pizza (I may or may not have eaten most of this myself). So Gooooood!!!

Needless to say we had a nice day, even though I had to work later that night...boo!

Just for Fun

I pulled a few pictures off my phone. Above: the kids trying to put off bedtime with a few pictures.
Reese loves her Lalaloopsies! We tuck them into bed every night. Reese thought they were a little too crowded having to share this pillow - so I had a little sewing project and made them each a little sleeping bag.
So Reese's hair has been a little scraggly lately, so I thought it was time for a haircut. I only wanted to cut 5-6 inches off but she insisted it be cut short like her cousin Brookie's. So it was done. It was pretty painful watching that first cut.
(Not styled obviously). It really has been kind of nice. It takes 2 seconds to comb through and a few minutes to curl/style. So there are advantages. Reese hasn't regretted her decision at all. She loves her short hair.

Boston turns 2

Boston turned 2 earlier this month. We started the party out at our local Fun Zone. All the kids had a ton of fun playing on the jungle gym and playing some arcade games. It was so busy and crazy (remind us to never go there on a Saturday again).
After the Fun Zone we headed back to our house for food, cake and presents. Boston had a Yo Gabba Gabba themed party. We also enjoyed some BBQ shredded pork sandwiches, funeral potatoes, fruit salad, veggies and a variety of chips.
A few of our good friends.
Check out that form! He may have a future in Baseball, skeet ball not so much.
Boston took a bite out of his cupcake in between opening each present.
Brookie whacking those moles.
Ethan and Mason saving the planet.

We had lots of fun celebrating his birthday. We're grateful to all those who came! We just can't get over how big our little guy is getting.

Boston had his 2 year check up this past week.

Weight: 30lbs (75th)
Height: 36" (87th)

He also had to get 4 shots! Poor guy!

Best Buds

Max and Boston. Boston loves him so much. I can't say that the feelings are always mutual. Max is so good to deal with the "love" and attention he gets everyday.

Anytime we run errands the first thing the kids look for when they get home is Max. Whenever Boston wakes up from his nap Max is one of the first things he looks for too. He's a great friend to have around.

New Years Eve

Sorry, I should probably start changing the right date on these but I'm too lazy. So for N.Y.E. we went to our good friend's house. We enjoyed stuffing our faces (what's a get together without over indulging) and we played a few games. Pictured: the men dancing along with Michael Jackson. As you can see we were all pretty great at it too.

Dancing turned to wrestling.

These girls love to dress up when ever they get together.
I'm pretty sure the girls are supposed to be following along to the game but didn't bust out any moves.
Fun Night!

Artwork

Reese got this fun Art Easel for Christmas from Todd's parents. We've got it set up in the kitchen and the kids absolutely love it. Multiple time during the day they'll stop and draw a few things. Boston has been getting in trouble A LOT (seriously every single day) for coloring on things that he's not supposed to. Today, I cleaned dry erase crayons off every one of my new couch cushions. (Above: Reese painting some R's - the first few were backwards but she's figured it out now).
The kids weren't the only ones to benefit from the new toy. As if this cat needs another place to lounge. He's turned into a lazy cat. The kitten phase has almost out grown him, except at about midnight when he decides it's time to run around like a maniac.
This was on a different day. Reese painted a picture of a snowman for Grandma, so we snapped a picture on my phone and sent it to her.
The perfect form for the perfect stroke.
