Not much of a blogger lately...

I know... I know -- I was doing so good at keeping this updated fairly often, but I sank into some sort of shlump. For those of you who might also look at my photography blog you'll know this picture isn't anything new (in fact it's like 2 weeks old). I haven't really been taking pictures too often or really doing much of anything lately. The weather was nice for most of the week last week and Reese and I were able to go out for a walk almost everyday. As you can tell from the picture Reese wasn't too thrilled to be playing in the, still covered with snow, park near our house. We are confined again to the house since this weekend brought snow, rain and wind. I'll be glad when Spring actually shows her face around this part of Idaho (Spring keeps playing peek-a-boo with my emotions and it's not too funny)!

So since we've been up here I haven't had to work at all. I'm still listed on Downeast's payroll but just as a call in and finally I was needed last week to work for a few hours. It was nice to have a break from my daily routine of living in my PJ's all day and actually put some makeup on and visit the outside world and interact with adults. I still like not having to work full time but it's nice to get out every once in a while. I get to work a few hours later this week too.
Last Thursday I was on my way to go get some groceries and I was stopping at a red light and some reckless high schooler totally rammed into the back of my Altima. I was soo annoyed. I should be grateful that Reese wasn't with me and that I'm fine, and that everything will be covered by her insurance -- but freak it's soo annoying! This is the second time in the two years we've had this car that it's been ran into. It's such a pain to do the insurance claims, deal with rental car, and wait for everything to get fixed. It's just annoying like I said twice already.
Not much else on the Agenda... we did go down and see my friend Amanda's new baby this weekend and she was so stinking cute. It's been a while since I've held a brand new baby -- there's nothing like it. Next weekend we plan to head south and visit our families so maybe I'll have something to document then.
At least now you see why I haven't really posted anything lately... there just hasn't been anything to post.

Happy St. Patty's Everyone!!!

And a Happy Birthday to my Bro. Chris! 29 right? Wow -- almost 30!

Not much planned for this lucky holiday -- at the moment we are watching Care Bears and eating Gold Fish crackers!

I've been a slacker lately I know...

Trying to take pictures lately has been quite the task... she is always trying to grab the camera which just makes it extremely difficult and extremely close up.
This past week Reese, my friend Josie and I traveled to Boise to spend some time with our good buddies Kate and Sadie. From about the moment we walked in the door the little girls went crazy playing with each other. They were constantly screaming, laughing, (destroying the house), and just loving each other's company. I have never seen Reese have sooo much fun. They chased each other around the house, shared snacks and played funny little games with each other. Sadie is only a few months older so they got along really well and it had been a while since they were able to play together.
Above: Reese trying to share Sadie's chair.

They corned themselves in the kitchen for quite some time, chattering and eating crackers. Sadie took the liberty to feed them to Reese --

Sadie.

Josie reading a story to the wild children.

Notice Reese's fist full of crackers... hopefully Sadie was able to snag a few before they were scarfed down. The concept of 'sharing' isn't understood quite yet.
We had a nice time in Boise -- hanging out, celebrating Kate's birthday and of course shopping!! I did find a new swimsuit for Reese -- yeah! On our way to Boise we did stop in Twin Falls to grab some lunch and meet up with my friend Kallie who used to work with me in Pocatello and moved away a couple years ago. She also has a little girl about Reese's age. Reese was very social, almost overbearing to everyone she came in contact with in the restaurant. It was a nice little trip minus the four and half hour drive there and back. I was very happy with how Reese handled the trip it was the longest she has been in the car at one time.
Reese was sooo happy to see her daddy when we got home. She was so hyper and giggly the rest of the night. I'm glad we were able to get away for a couple days. I am also very grateful that we had a safe trip. Thanks Kate for letting us come crash at your house!

Litter Critters...

Saturday Night Live - Litter Critters
Today they had a marathon of SNL commercials and I die whenever I see the Litter Critters one... gross but totally hilarious!

So it's been a while...

I haven't really been taking too many pictures lately -- I'm sure everyone is getting sick of seeing pictures of us just in the house being bored. It's staring to warm up so I'm getting excited about going outside to take some pictures. We have gone on a couple walks this week around the neighborhood but I haven't taken my camera with me yet. It's sooo nice to get out of the house even if it's just for 20-30 minutes (which is about all the tips of our noses, cheeks and fingertips can stand). I really like the area our apartment is in; the streets are really quiet, mostly residential and there is a lot of new construction and I love to go around and look at all the new houses being built (dreaming one day of having our own)! We even ventured to this little dairy store down the street that sells yummy ice cream, squeaky cheese and Gossner's flavored milk (my fav - I was so excited! I picked up a case of Strawberry milk and a tub of Moose tracks ice cream). Not too much else really has been going on. Last Saturday we were able to meet up with some of our best friends in Idaho Falls and go out to eat and just spend some quality time together. I miss my friends --- I'm still working on making some up here. I did talk for a half of a second to our neighbor and she has a little girl who just turned one - so who knows maybe I'll be brave enough to invite her for a play date. There have been plenty of Jazz games on to keep us busy. Lately Reese carries her favorite blankie around in her teeth (I wonder if she learned it from her cousin Ethan). I'm still puzzled to why she likes that blanket so much --- she has had so may cute ones made and she still dies if she doesn't have this one everywhere she goes. It was just a random piece of Bronco fleece to have while she watches the football games with daddy -- who would have thought this would have turned into her item of choice.
We've been doing video chats with Grandma and Grandpa and our Fam in Georgia. It's great for Reese to be able to see her cousin Annagrace -- they have fun showing each other their favorite toys and things they can say and do.

Yes every once in a while I do actually do Reese's hair. If I don't she looks like a scarecrow (an inheritance from me) --- I'm starting to give up on bows or clips -- they last about 5 seconds before she realizes they are there and rips them out.

Just pulling a funny face... notice the finger in the nose and eye.
