Just a Lazy Sunday...

So not too much going on today... we had stake conference early this morning and after that home teachers came over... which left the rest of the day to just relax. We had a nice dinner and watched a few episodes of Scrubs and then decided to go for a walk. The weather is perfect... not too hot or cold with a slight warm breeze... I really wish I could have this temperature all year round. It gets way too hot for me in the summer. On our way back we stopped at the playground at our apartments and put Reese in the swing. She really liked it. Unfortunately we didn't our camera and I just had my phone, so the quality isn't the best.

Sorry this video really is quite poor -- one of these days I'll upload some videos from our actual video camera.

The rest of the week was busy... we opened up our new store at my work. Grandma Poole came up and we went shopping up to Idaho Falls. Todd had a show friday night - they opened for Jeremy Buck and the Bang up at the ISU campus in Idaho Falls... So we've been busy. Hopefully things slow down this week. Reese does have her 4 month check up on Thursday which means more shots. Not looking forward to that -- I am curious to see how much she's grown. I swear she grows and inch every five minutes (breaks my heart). Anywho... sorry for the lame post today... I'll be more on the ball this week.

This week...

Sorry to all who read that I haven't put much on in the last few days. Things have been crazy busy at work. We are in the process of opening up a new store (and being the manager that automatically obligates me to work longer hours than anyone). The first few days were hours of taking the new summer product out of packages and folding endless piles of Tees, camis, and other DownEast product. Not what most would consider fun but I actually don't mind it. I really like busy work. The new store is looking great and we should be ready for opening next Wednesday. It's been a constant juggle with work and the baby. On the days I'm just in the new store getting things set up I'll take Reese - Thank the Lord I was blessed with a wonderful child and she is easily occupied in her car seat with toy.

Minutes ago I finished preparing my lesson for Relief Society. (My mother already scolded me that most people spend the whole month planning and preparing their lesson- I naturally looked at it for the first time last night). Every time I've opened up the manual to try and attempt at getting something done I find myself dozing off to dreamland where my life is a lot less hectic. (A place I wish I could visit a bit more often). I'm extremely tired... and next week is going to be equally as busy.

How do other people juggle so much craziness, and I only have one child? I suppose it's a learned skill. My legs are sore my eyes are droopy and yet here I am updating my blog instead of going to bed (one problem might be my priorities getting mixed up - as shown in the previous sentence). I'm really sorry I'm just rambling on. I'm trying to soak up this "me" time I actually have while Todd watches the recording of the Jazz game and Reese is sleeping.

After church tomorrow we will be heading down to Preston to have some good home cooked dinner at my mom's house. It's a combined birthday dinner for My brothers Jason and Tyler. Last year we made the mistake to set aside a separate Sunday for every spring birthday (which there are a lot)... with the cost of gas, and the headache along of trying to put together that many birthday dinners for everyone.. we started combining them. In August I only have to share my birthday dinner with my nephew Ethan... since he will only be turning 4 the meal will be prepared based on my favorites (everyone gets to pick what will be cooked for their birthday dinner).

Sorry here I am rambling again.. and I haven't read over this to see if there are any errors... again I'm way too tired for that.. so I'll see ya later.

Night Out...

So yesterday we actually got out of Pocatello and went somewhere. Way back in January for Todd's birthday I gave him a coupon to go to any jazz game (since I had no idea which one he might like to go to) -- So we finally went last night to the last home game and saw them play the Rockets. I got off work a little early so we could do a few more things while we were down there (to make it a little more worth the gas money). So we wandered around the gateway mall -- found a pink Carlos Boozer jersey for Reese, and ate at Applebee's. We still had about an hour to kill after that so we wandered around the Church History Musem (a kind sister told us everything she knew about the old tabernacle.. it was quite interesting).

Me and Todd were talking about how things come so easily to us now days.. people are a lot more impatient and ungrateful. So my goal is to be more patient and grateful.

Anyways after that we headed to the game and enjoyed our seats up in the nose bleeds. It was fun regardless of our poor man seats (just being there is fun enough). I swear every single person on our row got up fifty million times to go get more beer, bathroom breaks or whatever.. it was quite annoying I wanted to yell at them all, but I didn't - like I said I'm trying to be more patient.

After the game we headed home and stayed the night at my mom's house (where Reese was) and came home to Poky this morning since I had to work. So all in all it was a nice escape from everything. Naturally everything was here when we returned (including my dirty dishes and messy house).

Reese and Mom...

Already so vain... Reese loves to see her reflection... probably because she knows how cute she is. The reason I look like such a dork is because I was trying to get her to laugh... no such luck. This is us in front of the mirror in our bathroom.
She's all mine and I couldn't be happier... she is such a joy to have in our home. I was so blessed with such a good baby... and believe me for those of you that know me really well there is no way I could have handled anything different.
Kate came up this weekend.. and Reese and Sadie chilled on the couch while we shouted and made ridiculous sounds to try and get them to smile at the same time. Sadie was too distracted by Reese's shoes and Reese always freezes when there is a camera in her face.. so no such luck. As you can see from the picture Reese is quite drooly and her shirt is soaked.

Not much else going on this week... Monday Todd and I are going to a jazz game. It will be nice to get out the house... and the city for part of the day.

Lots of things going on at work next week -- as we prepare to move into our new store!! I am so excited!!

Our basketball watching girl...

I know I have mentioned it before but Reese loves to watch basketball!!! Naturally she tuned in the NCAA championship game with her dad. It's hilarious to watch when Todd flips through the the channels she is easily distracted by her toys or her mom talking to her but once basketball is on -- she's like a zombie. I'm not sure what it is but it cracks me up. (She was rooting for Memphis in case you care to know-the underdog). She also loves to watch the jazz games with dad (Carlos Boozer is her favorite player). Todd just mentioned to me that hopefully she has the same reaction when Bronco season starts up again (the Denver Broncos that is for all you not sport watching people).

I am so excited that tomorrow is my day off. I need to get some groceries because we are feeding the missionaries on friday. (Oh gosh someone besides my own family has to eat my cooking... dangerous)!! It should be fun though. As much as I wish I could just sit home and relax I need to get a million things done. -- My goal is to get Annagrace's birthday present mailed off tomorrow (if your reading this Candi). I get so frustrated when I make a list of things I want to get accomplished each day and I don't get half of them done. I should be happy though if I get anything done. We'll see how productive I am. I just hate having really only one day to get things done. Usually by the time I get home from work during the week I'm too exhausted to be out and about. I just want to come home and chill. Therefore my day off is jam packed with the things I've put off doing every other day. Sorry I'm just rambling now.

Growing, growing, growing..

We are now taking big girl baths... it's a lot easier than trying to do it in her little tub or the sink. Plus we can splash!!! Which Reese thinks is pretty cool.. she actually likes taking baths now.
Check out my new shoes... She had to have some Etnies like mom and dad... When I saw them I just couldn't resist even though she will probably only wear them for a short time.. I just might have to get the same ones in the next size up too!!! I just love them.
She is getting super slobbery!!! Which is always great fun especially when I'm lugging her around somewhere in public and she's been eating part of my shirt.. so I have wet spots all over... she also likes to grab onto my shirt and pull it down so I'm constantly having to adjust my clothes so I don't flash the whole world.
She likes to blow bubbles.. you can't tell from the picture but she would blow bubbles and then a big string of spit would land on Todd.. it was pretty funny that was getting spat on.
She loves to stand up.. I don't know if it's just the better perspective of the world she's getting or what... but she cries when you lay her back down.

An update...

(From left to right top row: Great Grandma Nan, Alisha Jason and Ethan , Grandma and Grandpa, Chris, Brooklyn, Suzy and Mason... Bottom Row: Me, Todd and Reese, Tyler, Justin, Dylan and Cami... and of course Angel.. from this picture you can't see that she's a tri-pod.. she looks like a whole dog)
I know that the last few posts have just been a few quick sentences.. I've been trying to get it updated when I can but our internet is never working.. however it's going on two days in a row so I might be safe to write a little more now.

Life has been going really well lately. We had a nice spring break.. (which means daddy didn't have to go to class and could be home with mommy and Reese). We didn't really do anything spectacular. We went down and visited Grandma in Preston and went shopping before she headed off to the Big Apple.

Easter weekend was really nice.. (other than it was my sunday to teach).. as much as I hate to admit it the lessons are getting better and I'm getting less nervous.. I cringe at the thought of other callings that are now becoming available as people move out of the ward... I'm happy where I am only having to prepare something once a month. My plate is full. After church we headed to Preston and went to Sacrament Meeting with grandma and had easter/birthday dinner for grandma and uncle Chris. It was really nice.. ham and twice baked potatoes oh and of course lime cheesecake.. (my favorite!!!). We actually had everyone there (a true miracle) and snapped a family photo.

Reese has been getting so big lately.. she blows lots of bubbles, she hasn't rolled over yet but she's figuring out.. she'll roll all the way over on her side and just lays there to play with her toys. Anything she can get in her hands she is tasting.. She talks and talks and laughs and laughs.. it melts my heart when she giggles. She lays on her tummy and just kicks and kicks.. I think she will we a quick learner when it comes to crawling.. she's got all the movements down.. she just has to figure out that she's stuck high centered on her belly. That will be the biggest obstacle getting that gut off the floor. She just turned three months on the 28th of March.

Uncle Thomas got to baby sit Reese all by himself for a few hours last saturday sine I had to work later and Todd had to go to work. Everyone survived... I came home to a soggy bum I had to change.. Thomas claimed he didn't smell anything.. but we all know he wasn't going to bother with changing her bum... poor girl she was swimming.

On friday we get to go down to Todd's mission reunion in Bountiful and show her off to all his mission buddies. Last year at this time we were in South Jordan to his last mission reunion and there were only a couple babies. I'm anticipating more this time around. Little did we know we were actually expecting at the time as we were getting the word from his mission president to not wait to have children. That the lord would bless us if we started our families asap.

Hopefully the internet keeps working.. it drives me nuts not being able to get on here everyday to do updates and check out everyone's.

Hanging with mom...

Big Smiles all the time now... she gets pretty excited when she gets stripped down...

Our Big girl.. who up until about a week ago hated being on her tummy.. we were really worried she wouldn't ever learn how to crawl.. all those worries have been thrown out the window now..
