Splash Park

This was a couple weeks ago but didn't get the pictures posted since our apartment complex switched internet providers and we didn't have a connection for a while.
My friends little boy. Look at the cute little footprints.

Girls Trip

Last week we had a nice little 4 generations girls trip to Yellowstone and Jackson. It was originally just going to be my grandma, my mother and myself (since I wanted a trip without any children-for a break), but my grandma thought Reese needed to go. Reese was pretty good to take last year and we knew she would enjoying seeing all the sights a bit more this year. Boston stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Welch for the 4 days while we went off tripping. Day one: We stopped off at Mesa Falls for the first part of our trip (just a little outside Ashton, Idaho). We saw a herd of antelope, but I wasn't prepared with my camera so I only got them as they were running away (which was a bummer since they were right by the car at first). By the way I took pictures of the wildlife we saw so Reese can enjoy them afterwards and remember all the animals she saw. We also saw a Moose just before we got to Mesa Falls, but missed the picture.
At the falls.
Inside the little ranger station building there. They had a room full of the skins of pretty much every animal that can be found in the area. The black bear kind of freaked Reese out and I tried to get a picture of her with it, but she wouldn't get very close unless Grandma Nan was holding on to her.
Holding Grandma Nan's hand - her best friend.
Having a picnic.
This is just a short distance from Mack's Inn in Island Park - I think it's called Big Spring? Don't quote me on that though. It was just a fun little place feed some fish, ducks and seagulls.

Reese like to chase the seagulls once they perched on the fence.
Reese and Grandma.
We even saw a muskrat swimming.
We stayed our first night in West Yellowstone. At a super gross hotel (we stayed their last year but this year we got stuck in the other section and it was gross). We went into the park for a little bit the first day too.

Day two: We headed into the park again and headed North and stopped in Mammoth for lunch and came around stopped at the Notorious waterfall, Yellowstone Lake and ended up at Old Faithful. Sorry these aren't in perfect order. Above: Enjoying some ice cream after watching the geyser. We stayed in a little cabin at Old Faithful the 2nd night. Also at our cabin when we were loading items to and from the car Reese managed to lock herself in the cabin by herself and we had to call security to come and rescue her. Apparently you can't unlock it with your key from the outside if you push the in the button on the handle on the inside - stupid I know. She cried for a while but after a bit I peeked in the window and saw her fishing around in the cooler and pushing the stroller around - so she must not have been too traumatized.
We saw a ton of wildlife... including a wolf.
Some other things we saw squirrel, black bear, buffalo, elk, coyote, and a bald eagle. It's trips like these that made me wish I had a telephoto lens, maybe by next year.
Reese tuckered out.
Pit stop on the shore of Yellowstone Lake.

Reese got a pair of binoculars as one of her souvenirs. She desperately wanted a pair after she saw Grandma Nan had some, and of course she needed her own pair to check out all there was to see.
Testing the water.
Old Faithful.
Reese loved the stinky pots. Reese and Grandma taking a stroll around the stinky pots.
Day Three: at Colter Bay on our way to Jackson, we stopped to have some lunch. Reese loved throwing rocks and sticks into the lake.
Splashing in the water.

We had a cute little spot right on the Jackson Hole lake . Grandma and Reese eating their pork n' beans.
Reese posing in front of the Tetons, also note her other souvenir - a buffalo purse.
After we arrived in Jackson we checked into our hotel and then we headed to the Bar J Wranglers. For those of you that don't know it's a Old West singing/comedic group (that my mother and Grandma absolutely love), they serve a chuck wagon type meal while you're there too. Reese and I had the BBQ'd beef, applesauce, pork n' beans, Cinnamon cake, cornbread, and pink lemonade.
At the Bar J Wranglers waiting for our turn on the wagon ride.

Reese even made a best friend while we were waiting in line to get into the Bar J and we were lucky enough to ride the wagon at the same time.

Reese loved the show. Most of the time she was using my mom's Sudoku book as a guitar and pretending the play instruments along with them. She was also really excited just to see cowboys (probably from her recent interest in Woody from Toy Story).
Finally home. Boston loving his presents a new Moose and some Moose socks. It was a really nice Trip and Reese was really good the whole time. This may end up being an annual trip with just the girls.

Picture Overload...

So it's been a month so I might as well have a months worth of pictures right? Both of our computers are still being really dumb. We need to take them somewhere and just get them fixed but we just haven't done it yet. The laptop is just super annoying to use when your on the internet we keep getting a ton of pop ups and internet explorer is closing messages (not sure what the deal is - feel free to offer any advice). I don't think it has anything to do with the settings because we have tried to adjust everything, but who knows. Anyways and our desktop is soooo slow right now. It boggles my mind because it goes from working perfectly fine and wonderful to being slow and stupid. Enough about that though. {Boston WILL love football... yes we are already brainwashing him}
We haven't been up to much this past month. Todd is still working hard in his last semester with a full load of 19 credits and working full time. We're excited to be heading back to Pocatello in August and today we went down to check out some places out to live. {Boston's new toy - I think he's bored having to lay on the ground all the time - now he gets to be swung and bounced around by his sister-poor kid}
We had a day with a fraction of sunshine and made it to the park. They had the water turned on at the splash park so we let Reese run around a bit.

{Todd teasing Reese... pretending to hold her under the big bucket of dumping water}

{Testing the water}

My little brother Tyler's High School Graduation. {He refused to smile in any of his pictures-he's that cool}
I probably should have an arrow pointing to him, but he's like the 3rd row from the back 3rd one in.
{Shaking hands with the VP}

Some of these pictures have been posted on FB, but since not everyone has access to those I'll post them again.
{Impossible to a picture with both of them cooperating}

{Reese was watching Dancing with the Stars and wanted to dress up a bit, just like the girls on the show}
{Our little dancer girl twirling around the room, she tries really hard to copy exactly how the girls and the tv are doing it}
{The cutest, happiest boy in the world -- Love him sooo much} He is doing soo good. We just had his 4 month checkup. Weight: 16lbs 1oz, Height: 27" -- So BIG!! He loves to smile laugh and yell. His favorite toys are his linking rings and his frog. He giggles every time he sees himself in the mirror and started rolling over the week before he turned 4 months. He is an excellent sleeper-- he goes down around 9 pm and wakes up at 5-6 to eat and then back to bed for a couple more hours.
Earlier this week we had a beautiful sunny day so I met some of my girlie friends at the Idaho Falls zoo and just enjoyed the day with all of our children. {Reese even got to ride on the airplane ride at the little 'creepy' fun land right next to the zoo}
I should post the pic that I have of her when she's like 6 months taking a drink from this same lions mouth. I'm sure you can flip back through the archive and find it.
{Reese the little mother hen, with her best little bud Addi}

{All the little girls - Reese, Addi, and Braylee}
{Multiple attempts at trying to take a picture of all 3 of them - impossible}

{Just after rolling over}

{He loves his hands!}

One of my very favorite pics. {Hanging out in the stroller at the zoo}

{Love him!}
Like I said not too much going on... I did take a 2 day photography class. It was so nice to have a couple hours 100% to myself. I wish it had been a little bit longer, but it was just a community class offered through the university.
Not too much coming up on the agenda. Only 2 months left in Rexburg!!
