Nemo 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5

Reese loves walking past the fish in Wal-Mart. Imagine how excited she was when we told her she could pick a couple out and we could take them home. We didn't go to the store that day with the intention of getting any fish. However, we left with 1 fantail goldfish, and 4 regular goldfish. Reese cleverly named them all Nemo. We figured we would start out with some goldfish - I'm afraid of how long they probably won't last. Except when I was a kid my little brother had a goldfish and it lived for years and got really big until it eventually just started to molt and finally died.
Here's her Nemo's. She loves them and gets really excited when it's time to feed them. Mom will not be excited though when she has to clean out the tank - the worst part in owning fish.

K- so I have to say that Molting thing was really gross! Anyway I am excited for you and your new fish. Andrea Combes had a gold fish that was like super humongous!! I remember it...that's probably how yours will get and then you will have to buy a bigger tank to clean :) (Let me know how it goes...we have been thinking of gettins ONE for Sadie

You are such a good mom to get Reese fish...I hate cleaning fishbowls...yuck. My grandparents had a goldfish that was huge and they would just randomly toss things into the tank to see what it would eat...I distinctly remember the fish eating cat food, cheerios, and peas. So, if you are looking for some fun on a boring day...

Ah, fish. The perfect pet - so low maintenance really and fairly easy to replace, should the inevitable happen right? :)

We are doing well. We really enjoy where we live. Love the weather and the friends we've made. We wish we could be a couple hours closer to family though - although we do get down to see them somewhat often so it's okay. Ultimately we imagine we'll come a little closer but who knows. So is Todd done with his student teaching in May - at the end of this school year? Then do you just go to wherever he gets a job or do you have a particular place in mind? It's good to catch up a bit. You guys take care!
