More pics...

So I don't really have time to type a whole lot but I thought it was pretty important to get some pictures on here for you all to enjoy. Sorry I've been such a slacker.. Todd is patiently waiting at the school with me while I hurry and post an update. So sorry the pictures really aren't in order and there are very many of them...

Annagrace had lots of fun toys to play with.
Before we headed off to the south we stopped at Grandmas to play.
At the SLC airport... anxious to be in the air.
Our layover in Minneapolis - still happy travelers.
The first meeting... we didn't get to their house until like midnight or one o'clock in the morning... Reese and Annagrace meeting for the first time...
Another tutu pic...

We only ate out at classy places... as you can tell (the kind that give you cardboard crowns to wear).
Obviously our skin has not seen the Florida sun...sorry about the whiteness....

Pictures!!!

Ok I finally made it to the library... here are a few pictures from our trip... for those of you that have already seen Candi's blog a lot of these are the same.. but either way here you go.
We were constantly telling Annagrace to give Reese loves - and we were never able to capture the moment properly on camera... this is the best attempt we got at them looking like they like each other.
This is from the balcony of our condo in Panama City, right by the Beach!!!
My two beach babes.
She seriously loved the beach, the water, being out in the sun, and especially her turtle floaty.

Naturally we dressed them up - Candi took some great pics for us the morning before we left for home. (there are some more if you check out the Welch's of the south blog)

So So Sorry...

So sorry everyone this is yet another post without any pictures. So we just got back from our vacation early this morning. We had a grand ole time in the south. I was so worried about traveling with an infant but it was no big deal at all... I should have known Reese is such a great baby. Everyone on the plane loved her -- actually pretty much everyone that she came in contact with talked and smiled at her. We spent the first couple days in Columbus, Georgia just relaxing, shopping, eating and seeing the sights. Friday morning we headed down to Panama City Beach, Florida. Reese is quite the little mermaid. She loved the ocean and especially the swimming pool. She would kick and splash like a mad woman. Most of our time was spent in the water - that also includes the rain. It rained every day we were on vacation. It didn't ruin our vacation at all - it didn't ever interrupt anything we wanted to do. We ate at some great local restaurants (although they were mostly seafood-not my fav). We did some more shopping at found some great deals at the outlets. We were sad to go home - vacations always go by too fast. Reese slept on both our flights home and the whole way home in the car (what an angel). We got home at 5:30 this morning... we didn't want to stay anywhere and just come straight home. Regretfully we'll have to return to work this week. Hopefully I will feel refreshed and ready to get back to reality. Today we just took it easy, we were up by 9:30 this morning (someone was hungry). We just spent the day unpacking and watched the new movie Penelope (which I thought was really cute) and we started watching the first season of Heroes. (I never got into it the first time they started on tv...)

A quickie...

I haven't left the blogging world just to let you all know... Our posts will not be quite as frequent since we no longer have a reliable internet source and the only time I can blog is at ISU or my inlaws (where I currently am at the moment... and all they have is dial up talk about frustrating... ). So not too much going on.. Reese is six months old and is one crazy chica. She loves to splash like a mad woman in the bathtub, she growls instead of talking, she has the cubbiest legs and cheeks, and the wildest hair. She is super happy baby and doesn't get upset when strangers hold or play with her. She thinks it's hilarious when you clap in her face and give her raspberries on the back of her neck. The VCR remote control is her favorite toy - she actually liked the DVD remote better but since we use that one more often she had to get the VCR remote. I don't have any pictures with me that I can post. She just keeps growing... I'm sure she is about at the twenty pound mark. We had to reschedule her 6 month check up so I'm not quite sure. Last night we enjoyed the fireworks in logan from the mall parking lot. Lots of family was enjoyed Reese and fought over who got to hold her next. Next Tuesday we leave for Georgia.. yeah a vacation!!! I'll try to keep you all updated more often - I'm just lazy and don't get to the school as often as I would like. Anyway I better go spend time with the family.

Not much going on but I'll post anyways...

Reese I think has had enough of the video games - she is obviously a little bored and would like to watch some real television and not a dumb NBA game. My little Brother Tyler has been staying at our house since Saturday (while my mother and grandmother enjoy themselves in Mesquite). Luckily he is easily entertained (thanks to Tim's X-Box). However... it's kind of annoying when there is more than just him at the house... (for the people in the room not playing the game - not so entertaining).
Funny faces. Believe it or not this is actually a mid giggle face. She loves her new princess phone... and for those of you that noticed... Todd's face is naked, apparently he messed up when he was trimming and had to shave the whole thing off. I'm not too sure how I feel about it. Yes I do prefer him with facial hair. Which is a major bummer if we end up moving to Rexburg (stinky rules).
Yes we are still in the slobbery stage. We went shopping today and Reese nibbled on her zipper the entire time... thus we have a half soaked jacket. Her two bottom teeth are coming in quite nicely, teething hasn't been too bad (others have told me horror stories and thankfully things have been pretty easy - much like every other stage in her life thus far - praise the lord). Also you will notice that we are sitting up pretty well too. She does have a nice round bottom to sit on and toppling almost never happens... unless she gets really excited.

A few things unmentioned...

So I think I forgot to mention Reese has been rolling over. She goes from back to front... (which once she gets onto her tummy is quite upset and if she has just eaten usually ends up spewing everything up in front of her... fun stuff!) She started doing it a couple weeks ago. I kept thinking it was going to be a lost cause but she did it. Next we need master rolling over the opposite direction.
She was holding onto her blanket when she rolled over and made herself into a Reese burrito.
Also lately she has this thing with her tongue. It is always sticking out. I'm not quite sure what brought this on... most likely something to do with her 2 bottom teeth that are coming in. So you'll probably notice it sticking out quite a bit in our latest pictures. What a goof ball.
Friday we both had the day off and headed up to Idaho Falls and went to the zoo. It was nice to get away for the day and have a nice little afternoon with just the family. The weather was perfect not too hot with a nice little breeze. The zoo isn't the greatest but satisfied our needs. Originally we had planned on going down to Hogle Zoo but now I'm glad we didn't. Maybe when she is a little bit older and can enjoy more of what's going on around her. Plus Hogle Zoo is pretty big and I think by the end of the day we would have been hot and miserable. After we strolled around for a while looking at the animals we had a nice little picnic lunch in the park next door. We also managed to hit up a few stores in the mall that we don't have in Pocatello. It was a nice day. We headed home and Uncle Thomas came over and hung out the rest of the night with us - we ordered some pizza and watched the ball game. It was a good day!

Over the Weekend...

So over the weekend we partied it up at Shawn's Birthday party (Todd's best friend). The party started Saturday (which technically was supposed to be for family - which we include ourselves as family)... we had a nice little BBQ in Shawn and Amanda's backyard. Reese got to see a lot of new and old faces and everyone was eager to hold her... but not so eager to give her up. The picture above was Reese just after she woke up (sleeping in Tracy's arms - Shawn's Aunt)... she is so angelic when she had a nice nap and has a full tummy.
This photo was actually taken Sunday (Shawn's party part II). This was the 'friends' party. We just enjoyed each others company outside, played a little catch, croquet, and had some cake and ice cream. Don't want our baby to burn. I know how miserable it is to have a sun burn (however my most recent burn was a bulb burn - from the tanning bed).
So happy to see her daddy. Seriously no one can make her smile like Todd.
Todd and Shawn setting up to play a little croquet...
Some traits we inherit from our parents (or I should say parent) are less desirable... Reese shows us her pencil holder.
This picture was obviously supposed to be up top by the other one... she just looks so darn cute. -- So we didn't do much for Memorial Day. Todd rode down with his folks to see his grandma in Brigham City and I worked. All I've been doing for the remainder of the holiday is cleaning up a bit around the house.

As Promised...

Finally here are our pictures!! I got them back earlier this week but didn't have time to scan them... plus we were having some computer issues (overheating or something)... So since they are scanned they aren't as good as the real thing... and there maybe a few dust particles here and there... just try to ignore that.
There are a couple that I didn't put on here.. but they weren't very cute... I'm not sure why I picked them at all to get printed.. they must have looked better when I picked them out that day...but overall we ended up with some really cute ones. In the photo above she would never keep her hands right under her she kept sticking them out... which made it difficult to crop the photo to a usable size.

Don't mind the bad cropping job on my part... I was trying to get this done in a hurry.
She just loves her tootsies!!! The photographer... was wondering if we would be able to get her to grab her toes.. and I knew it would be no problem as soon as you lay her down they are in her hands or her mouth.
Our chubby little girl... the typical 4 month old physique. That's what 6 oz of formula will do you every few hours.

Candi I told you we had a matching outfit.. Hopefully it will be big enough by the time we head out to Georgia... She's just growing, growing, growing!!!

One of those important Milestones...

Just in case you all were wondering today was my Sunday to teach and I survived. I get myself so worked up before hand and by the time I'm about half way through my lesson I've calmed down and I don't feel like I'm going to pass out anymore. I am learning and growing with this calling as much as I hate to admit it... I would still rather be the bulletin folder or something not requiring me to get up in front of people.
This little girl is supposed to be taking a nap...I don't usually have her nap in her dress but I didn't want to change her out it because after church we had to go to a nursing home to do sacrament meeting. Speaking of which I don't if I have ever mentioned my fear of nursing/assisted living homes. I am so uncomfortable when ever I've gone to one (which is ridiculous I know). Josie.. kudos to you for working at them for all these years... I don't know how you do it, and Amanda kudos to you as well (I know I would hear about it later if I didn't mention you as well).
Yes Reese reached an important milestone in her life yesterday... one that every little girl looks forward to experiencing at a young age. That's right everyone she watched The Little Mermaid for the first time. Ok maybe not so much watched it... she was in the room while it was playing. She did yell and gurgle during the songs which I interpret as singing (her mother also insisted on singing along). It might have been me that was a little more excited to watch it... even so much that when I went to Wal-Mart I checked out what other Disney classics were available for purchase. Disney does the stupid vault thing where they only release them every once in a while. I have slowly started building my collection. I know how much I enjoyed them growing up and there are those few titles that will never go out of style and every little girl needs to own. We already have The Little Mermaid, Fox and the Hound, Lady and the Tramp and Jungle Book. I've missed the times that Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Lion King have been released. I also have a select few on VHS (that I may have stole from my mother... eventually I would like to get them in DVD -(and my mother would probably like her copies back). Sorry this is boring I was just super excited!

My Thursday....

Really not much going on this week... I really don't even have a reason to post, but I'll do it anyways. We had everyone over to watch the jazz game last night... Reese didn't wear her jersey and Korver socks (Todd is slightly superstitious and says she can only wear them on home games -- )... well for those of you who follow the NBA know that it didn't work - the jazz lost. My Thursday night has been pretty good... after work Reese and I went and met Todd at his work party and loaded up on some free food and came home and indulged on some quality Thursday night TV. Lately I've been watching a lot of Wheel of Fortune (I suck really bad at it too), then watched The Office (tonights episode was pretty funny... especially when they convinced Holly the new HR person that Kevin was 'special' -- maybe you just had to be there). Following The Office was of course Lost. It's during Lost that I don't want any disruptions. Don't plan on calling between 9 and 10 on Thursday I probably won't answer. For those of you who watch the show know what I'm talking about, and for those of you who don't watch the first few episodes... and you'll understand (because you'll get sucked in and start obsessing over it). Ok, maybe not obsess over it -- I'm not obsessed, but Todd sure is. He is constantly listening to the Podcasts and reading all the little secret things on the internet... and whatever you do don't get him started on any theories about what might happen. So yeah... that's my Thursday after work. Another day of work awaits me tomorrow... which is probably why I'm delaying my bedtime.
